Description | A Virtual classroom concept is obvious solution under such circumstances. One lecturer is than available to all students in more classrooms or even geographically distracted in a number of distant localities. We have already implemented the Virtual classroom concept in small scale at the Masaryk university whenever it was necessary to bring the lecturer to more lecture halls or classrooms simultaneously. At the Faculty of Informatics the implementation is based on direct digital audiovisual connection (however not transmitted over the IP network) of the lecture halls. The Faculty of Economics and Administration implements the Virtual classroom concept using videoconferencing technologies. Usually lecture materials such as presentations or data from document cameras, voice and video of the lecturer is transmitted in standard definition (presentations) or even smaller (lecturer video) resolutions. |
