• Description: The aim of this study is rhodanese group member - protein RHC. It is the only enzyme in Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans genome that contains both rhodanese and ankyrin domain. There is no such an enzyme characterized so far. Our work can thus bring new informations useful not only for A. ferrooxidans study. After the optimization of expression and purification, there were performed the basic functional analysis, including pH and temperature optimum, catalytical konstants (Km) determination and other properties.
