Description Diurnal preference is an important individual characteristic. The aim of this study was to assess the psychometric properties and temporal stability of the Czech version of the Composite Scale of Morningness (Smith, Reilly, & Midkiff, 1989). data were collected from 623 students in a range from 15 to 30 years. For the whole sample, Cronbach's alpha was 0.86, a temporal stability after 3 months was 0.85; three factors were extracted. neither significant relationship between age and morningness score neither gender differences has been found. The Czech version of the Composite scale has very good psychometric properties and temporal stability.
