Description A typical WISC-III profile were studied in population of Czech gifted students with dyslexia.We addressed psychologists working in counselling centres across whole republic to find and identify children who are gifted and have reading difficulties at the same time. The record files of these children were analyzed to suggest potencial experimental group. Their intellectual profiles were studied to determine cognitive factors characterizing these children in Czech population. Thirty-one subtests profiles of WISC-III were analazying using the classification system of Bannatyne (1974), Kaufman (1975), Rapaport et al.(1946) and Wechsler (1974). The results were comparing with a control group of gifted children without learning disabilities. The typical WISC-III profile in experimental group showed some strong domains in subtests Information, Similarities and Vocabulary, while the lowest scores were in subtests Coding and Digit Span
