| Description | Gender confrontations bring the possibility to open a discussion about questions which are often asked within the field of gender studies but are relevant also for other disciplines. This discussion symposium opens the floor for interdisciplinary discussion and tries to involve social scientists who are not primarily interested in gender issues as well as feminist and gender scholars. The topic of Gender confrontations IV was the crisis of masculinity. Is it a part of the antifeminist backlash or a serious social problem? How is emacipation of women conected to that issue? What are the implications for social policy? |
