Description | This paper deals with changes in the Czech legal order concerning the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements after the Czech Republic joint the EU. First, the amendment to the Private International and Procedural Law Act from 2004, concerning the regulation Brussels I, is described and reviewed. Then, the amendment to the Civil Procedure Code and to the Private International and Procedural Law Act from 2006, regarding the European Enforcement Order for uncontested claims, is analyzed. Generally, it can be said that the amendment to the former act was succesfull while the amendment to the latter act will probably cause problems with interpretation. |
