| Description | The research plan of the Faculty of Education in Masaryk University SCHOOL AND HEALTH FOR THE 21ST CENTURY is planned for the period 2005 to 2010 and recently it is in the halfway solving stage. The project is based on important school and health care documents, which emphasize generally mutual connection of the aims of education, school lessons, healthy style of life formation and global understanding of health. All that leads to health education and to formation of health promotion theory and programmes. We can say, from a certain point of view, that the project SCHOOL AND HEALTH FOR THE 21ST CENTURY fulfils, concretises, and possibly corrects common proclamations. The project is also being confronted with similar foreign pedagogical health care programmes. In the research so far, there are more problems than were supposed to be and often their solving is not mutually connected. What is insufficient is the understanding and awareness of specialists of one discipline for the questions of the other’s one and vice versa.
