Description Some opportune pathogens of the Aspergillus fungi genus can present a threat for immunodeficient patients. Necroscopy material was processed by conventional laboratory techniques. A child with cellular immunity disorder, with a prolonged respiratory infection, was treated with antibiotics. On the 14th day of hospitalization the patient died of Aspergillus sepsis. Disseminated aspergillus infection was macroscopically and microscopically demonstrated. Autopsy revealed numerous aspergillomas in lungs, brain, myocardium and kidneys. Heamorrage in brain and prominent aspergillus pneumonia was demonstrated. Aspergillus infections together with other mycoses are common but also serious diseases. In association with a cellular immunity disorder and other serious systemic diseases, it could lead to death.
