| Description | Different psychotherapeutic approaches in its view of depressive disorder congruently identify a phenomenon of vicious circle of depression. The article surveys how the vicious circle of depression is described in theoretical systems of the five major psychotherapeutic approaches used for the treatment of depression, research of effectiveness of each approach in the treatment of depression is mentioned. Cognitive behaviour therapy, dynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy, gestalt therapy and systemic family therapy are discussed. |
