| Description | This paper introduces two current projects dealing with prehistoric occupation of the karstic and pseudokarstic (sandstone) areas of the Czech Republic. The largest sets of (calibrated) C14 data are available for the Magdalenian and Mesolithic periods. Spatially, emphasis is concetrated on studies of the karstic and pseudokarstic areas as settlement systems. Additionally, this paper resumes the problems of methodology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and site protection. |
