Description Two different sedimentary bodies of fluvial deposits were recognised within the artificial outcrops in the area of Brno-Bystrc. Gravels in higher structural position (altitude about 240 m above sea level) reveal provenance predominantly from Moravicum, Bohemian Cretaceous basin and Carpathian Foredeep. Gravels from lower structural position (altitude about 220 m above sea level) reveal provenance predominantly from Svratka Crystalline Unit, Moravicum and Boskovice Furrow. The deposits were interpreted as a product of deposition in braided rivers.
