Description | Carbon nanotubes and iron nanoparticles were synthesized in microwave plasma torch at atmospheric pressure by volume plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. The deposition was carried out in the mixture of argon, hydrogen and methane with addition of iron pentacarbonyl vapors. Scanning and transmission electron microscopies revealed the presence of iron nanoparticles with the diameter from 3 to 150 nm and multiwalled carbon nanotubes with the diameter from 5 to 20 nm. |
