Description | The aim of the study was to detect the frequency of sensitization to 27 selected adjuvants (preservatives, antioxidants and emulsifiers) used in pharmaceutical preparations and cosmetic products with patch tests in patients with chronic eczema. Between 2001 and 2006 a group of 1927 patients (601 men and 1326 women) was investigated. The frequency of sensitization was as follows: wool alcohols 4,0 %, formaldehyde 2,49 %, dodecyl gallate 1,97 %. |
