Description | The results showed viruses as abundant and dynamic component of pelagic communities in the rivers and pointed out a complex relationship between viruses, heterotrophic bacteria, phytoplankton, and nutrient concentration (PO4-P). Strong cross-correlations among viruses, their hosts and nutrients revealed in the rivers suggest that abundance and dynamics of viruses may be influenced by these parameters to a large extent. |
