Description | The book comprises the experience of the author with laboratory rearing of bumble bees as well as instructions how to rear 14 species of bumble bees in laboratory. The technique used for Bombus terrestris served as the model for other pollen storers. Similarly, experiences gained in Bombus pascuorum were tried for several another pocket makers. The list of enemies noted during the rearing in laboratory is added as well as basic recommendations for using bumble bees in open pollination. The simple guide allows recognizing Czech species of bumblebees and cuckoo bumblebees. As a supplement 111 colour photos illustrating the text are added. |
