Description | Sperm cryopreservation prior to gonadotoxic therapy is the basic method used to preserve reproductive potential for the survivors of cancer treatment. Cancer patient sperm banking programmes require close cooperation between the respective oncology department, the assisted reproduction centre, and tissue bank. Sperm cryopreservation should be offered to every patient before therapy that causes the destruction of spermatogenesis. |
