• Description: The procedure is based on the isolation of mercury species from solid sample, their derivatization and preconcentration, separation by gas chromatography and detection by atomic fluorescence spectrometry with pyrolysis of mercury species. Two preconcentration techniques were used, solid phase microextraction and extraction into suitable organic solvent.
