Description | Three sources of metabasites in eastern Central Europe exploitated in the Neolithic have been characterised. The most important one lies in the Jizerské hory Mts., N Bohemia, another one at Želešice near Brno (Czech Republic) and the third in the Malé Karpaty Mts., Slovakia. Distribution map of metabasites from the Jizerské hory Mts. shows their occurrences at Neolithic sites up to 500 km from the source. |
