Description In the year 2006 we carried out an anonymous survey among over 1000 presentform students from all faculties of the Masaryk University. The questions dealt with their attitudes, experience and behaviour connected with substance abuse. The study showed that over 40% of students smoked tobacco within one week prior to the survey. Almost all students have already had experience with alcohol. Black coffee was drunk by 50% of respondents within one week prior to the survey. Cannabis was consummed by 16% of students within the last month. Dance drugs were used by 1% of respondents within the last month (more men), win machines were played by 6% of respondents. At least one experience with hard drugs was reported by 5% of respondents. The first experience was usually between 15 and 18 years. Respondents find it easy to obtain drugs. Their attitudes to experiments esp. with so called "light" drugs are very open.
