| Description | The text deals with current legal regulation of community service order in Austria in relation to both adult offenders and juveniles offenders. The author refers to new amendments with regard to the reform of Criminal Procedure Act, effective from 1.1.2008, and other important amendments of Criminal Procedure Act and Law on Justice in juveniles matters. The attention is also paid to the activities of institution NEUSTART (the equivalent of the Czech Probation and Mediation Service) in cases of imposing the community service order. Positives of legal regulation in Austria are emphasized at the end. |
