Description | A conference contribution on discourses of the spiritual milieu about "religion". Its aim is to present the processes by which the boundary between the spiritual milieu and established religious organizations (especially the Catholic Church) is constructed, or challenged and dissolved. The analysis is focused on identification of emic discourse(s) on "religion" and "churches" and discursive strategies employed to negotiate the meaning of the "spiritual seeking" and affiliation to a religion. It is argued that the boundary between "religion" and "spirituality" is flexible as it is defined differently in relation to various positions of involved actors in the field and to their strategies of construction of their "seeker" identity. |
