Mollusc communities in the Western Carpathian fens: ecological and paleoecological patterns

• Description: The main results of our long-term research on mollusc community ecology of the Western Carpathian treeless fens were presented. The presentation included: (i) diversity and species composition changes along the mineral richness gradient, (ii) relationships between molluscs and vegetation, (iii) endangered species and conservation priorities, and (iv) preliminary results on the origin and development of calcareous fens in the study area.
