| Description | In the study Joris-Karl Huysmans Conversion we show, how the author s spiritual development is related to the topics of his works. We subdivide his literary production into four sections. Every sections is entitled in accordance to the biblical parable of the prodigal son (Lk 15,11-24): 1/ works of the period of naturalism or far from the father s house; 2/ decadent novels or search of the father s house; 3/ novel about conversion or finding of the father s house; 4/ catholic novels or in the father s house. The aim of our work is to show dependency of the literary topics choice on the author s personal transformation and this way to achieve conversion as a main literary topic, incliding all single topics analyzed in the novels. |
