Description The post-industrial landscape is inherited from the time of the industrial revolution. Landscapes built and abandoned by the industry represent historical relicts as "post-industrial landscapes". The developed countries try to restore traditional types of the cultural landscape heritage, and to save and protect some parts of them. The different opinion governs in the Czech Republic. This unique landscape type is being decomposed usually and this kind of the human and also the nature heritage is gradually missing. Formerly urbanized industrial area of Rosicko-Oslavansko (black coal basin and nearby ironworks from 19th century 20 km west from City of Brno) was selected as the example to start the preparation of digital landscape plans to prevent expected negative consequences of ignorance, now with regard to landscape geographical, ecological, historical and technical aspects, as well as social ones.
