Description | EE Dra = HD 171 410 = HR 7224 is rapidly rotating Si CP star showing double-wave photometric and spectroscopic variations with the period of 1.12325 d. The expected magnetic field has not been found up to now. Adelman (2004) announced dramatic change in the photometric behaviour of the star which has not been confirmed either in the spectroscopy (Lehmann et al., 2006) or in the photometry (Krtička et al., 2009). Nevertheless, the O-C diagram analysis does not excluded some changes in the rotational period of the star. Lehmann et al. (2007) published map of the surface distribution of Si and Fe and we derived from them corresponding light curves. The differences among observed and calculated light curves sign that Si and Fe are not single elements which determine the light variability of Si mCP stars. |
