| Description | Proved technology for implementing end-user article oriented digital libraries utilizing the repository system DSpace and template extension Manakin. The technology has been used for implementation of the Czech digital mathematics library. It provides automated procedures for importing digital data prepared by Metadata Editor, mapping the data into communities/collection environment supporting an effective browsing through hierarchical structures of documents of different kinds (journals, proceedings, monograph editions), searching in both metadata and fulltexts, utilizing of indexes (authors, titles, subject), providing secured fulltexts in PDF format. The technology integrates tools for searching similar articles, OAI metadata harvesting in various formats, and many other. Besides DML-CZ the technology is currently used for presentation of some other digital libraries, for example the Faculty of Arts Digital Library at the Masaryk university. |
