Description Here, we present the results of harvestmen research (Opiliones) from the eastern part of the Kozie chrbty mountains in northern Slovakia. Total 333 harvestmen individuals during 2005 - 2006 were collected. The 13 harvestmen species, belonging to three families were determined, they generate 40.6 % of harvestmen opiliofauna known in Slovakia. The presence of two species: Paranemastoma kochi, which is Carpathian endemic element and Lacinius horridus, which is thermophilous species confirm the presence of relict forest stands in the Kozie chrbty mountains.
