| Description | The chapter deals with the transformation of systems of interest groups in the post-communist countries of Central Europe in the process of the transition to democracy. The first part of the text analyses the role of interest groups in democratic political systems. The second part focuses on the situation in the particular countries, that is on the transformation, or in some cases creation and development of the non-profit sector in the three central European countries (Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungry) in the period 1990 to 1993. |
