Description | This work presents some methods and measured parameters for phytotoxicity testing of organic pollutants. As the experimental plant a pea (Pisum sativum) and as the tested compound PAH fluoranthene (FLT) were selected in concentrations 0.01, 0.1 (low loading) and 1 and 5 mg/L (high loading). For phytotoxicity testing standard tests of germination and seedling growth were used. As other methods an evaluation of changes in primary processes of photosynthesis - induced chlorophyll fluorescence and Hill reaction activity, and photosynthetic pigments content were used. All assessed parameters shown sensitively the negative effect of organic pollutant on biochemical and physiological factors of plants. |
