| Description | The paper deals with issues of public support of tourism. Besides the theoretical aspects of the public aid, attention is paid to evaluation of spatial effectiveness of public funds allocation. It is assumed that the most efficient use of resources is appropriate to concentrate the support in areas with the greatest tourist attractiveness. These and other socio-economic aspects are examined on data from the far most important program of tourism support - the fourth priority of the Regional Operational Program - Development of tourism. The results of the analysis and evaluation show that in relation to the tourist attractiveness, the spatial distribution of aid is relatively favorable. On the other hand, the question remains how the subsidies are targeted matter-of-factly. In this context, the most important problems of tourism support are identified. |
