Description In practice there are a lot of legal relations with some foreign element and in these contracts there are references to use the Czech or Slovak commercial code. The contractual parties usually presume that these legal regulations are conforming. Because in fact there are differences between these codes we created this survey that gives the basic information about this issue. We trust that this comparison can be useful for many readers. By this paper we continue in our previous work and we help to make and evaluate contracts. Although the purpose of legal regulation of the contract of current account and deposit account contract is still the same, the legal regulation in Czech and Slovak Republic is different in specific provisions, especially because of the change of the Czech Commercial Code. Therefore this paper and its brief comparison cannot give sufficient information and it is necessary to study provisions § 708 - § 719b of the Czech Commercial Code and provisions § 708 - § 719a of the Slovak Commercial Code.
