Description Acne medicamentosa is a disease caused by medicaments of various chemical groups. Acneiform effects belongs to side effects of hormonal products (glucocorticoids, androgens and oral contraceptives), vitamins B1, B6, B12 and D2, halogens iodine and bromine, some anticonvulsives, isonicotinhidrasid, lithium and some others. In a clinical picture folicular localised papulopustules are present. Comedones are not common; they are of the secundary origin. Face, chest, back and shoulders are the most common localizations of the disease. After stopping medication the illness starts to heal. The therapy is problematic, if the causal medicament is necessary for a patient.
