Description The contribution evaluated the development as regards judicial review of legal acts of the President in the Czech Republic. The presentation dealt with the relevant case-law of the Czech courts as well as with the broader doctrinal discussion (both the Czech and the foreign one). It was argued that such a review is a necessary feature of rule of law and the idea of constutitionalism; in this context, the "traditionalist" (which rejects the possibility of judicial review of legal acts of the Head of State) was criticized as contravening the principles of rule of law and the logic of development of constitutionalism int the last century.
