Description | This study report on a case of glioblastoma multiforme with a polyploid karyotype including a very unusual genetic change - the loss of a copy of the EGFR gene at locus 7p11.2 (EGFR gene) - diagnosed in a 14.5-year-old boy. To date, this patient has survived event-free for 34 months. A detailed analysis of the HGG-02 cell line, which was derived from this primary tumor, was also performed. |
