| Description | Cartography provides various tools for geographical data visualization. Topic of health data is one of application where the usage of cartographic tools is underestimated. Cartographic outputs can be very useful for common people as well as specialists in health and civil services. This paper describes web portal for Czech medical data presentation focused on different groups of users (zdravi.geogr.muni.cz). Experimental web portal contains tools for data visualization with different levels of cartographic complexity e.g. simple static maps, tool for exploratory cartographic analysis, and spatio-temporal data visualization. Selected diagnoses of malignant neoplasm are processed as static outputs. Data on diabetes and selected expenditure items of healthcare are presented in the form of dynamic outputs. Interactive maps are used as a tool for presentation of time series of selected indices of health status and healthcare on the level of regions and / or counties. A detailed view is given on prevalence development of neoplasm for 1989 - 2005. |
