| Description | The relationship between the VNTR polymorphism of the serotonin transporter gene and hyperkinetic disorder/ADHD was studied in this association study. 90 boys aged from 7 to 13 years treated for ADHD in the Department of Psychiatry of the Faculty Hospital in Brno and 82 boys, pupils of Brno elementary schools, as a control group were studied.The results showed a statistically significant relationship between the VNTR polymorphism of the 5-HTT gene and ADHD. |
