| Description | The contribution to the various ways of the lion`s image in the reliefs of medieval and early modern stove tiles presents on the representativ models from Brno and Uherské Hradiště the multivalent of the lion`s symbolism in it`s positive and negative dimensions. The inetrpretation of these images can`t be mechanicly standardized in the specific scheme. On one hand could the lion symbolize Christ himself but on the other hand the attributes of devil and evil. |
