Description | The interaction between poly(C) and poly(G).poly(C) was studied by differential impulse polarography. It was shown that binding of poly(C) to poly(G).poly(C) hinders its interaction with the electrode. The low concentration of poly(C) in the presence of poly(G).poly(C) was attributed to its interaction with unpaired G residues of poly(G). To determine the concentration of these residues, the fluorescence of Tb3+ was measured in the presence of poly(G).poly(C). It was found that denaturation of poly(G).poly(C) followed by renaturation reduces the number of defects in the poly(G) molecule. |
