| Description | The article gives an overview on geology of the Velký Kosíř Hill and its immediate vicinity. As a new piece of knowledge, there are described local phyllites as the ultramylonites of Proterozoic granitic rocks. The area is famous by findings of fossils in the Devonian limestones and Miocene deposits. Besides it, local rocks have been evaluated as potential sources for prehistoric lithic tools. |
