Description | Procamallanus laeviconchus has a wide host spectrum and geographical distribution in Africa. Morphological features found in adults suggest that P. laeviconchus is a complex of at least three morphologically similar species, poorly recognizable by LM. These differ from each other by some morphological features such as the presence/absence of the peribuccal flange, elevation of vulval lips, arrangement, form and number of small projections on female tails, and the definitive hosts. |
