Description Authors of research focused on analysis of relation of self-esteem, attribution and coping strategies in primary school pupils. Even though self-esteem and coping strategies relate, there is only a little relation to attribution. In our research participated 206 pupils (103 boys and 103 girls) in age 13 – 15. We concentrated on attribution, two dimensions of self-esteem: self-liking and self-competence; we used model of disposition coping in coping with stress. Significant gender differences were found by using the correlation analysis in all dimensions of self-esteem. Significant positive correlations were shown between self-liking and internalization of success and between feeling of incompetence and internalization of fatter. We found in attribution styles that pupils appraised „non-acceptance to school/branch“as most important and „drunkenness on a school party“as the least important situation.
