| Description | Trichophytosis as an occupational disease is the most frequent disease of occupational dermatomycoses. The causal organism is mostly Trichophyton verrucosum - causative agens of trichophytosis in livestock or Trichophyton mentagrophytes, which is tranferred via rodents who infect straw and liter. In both cases animal production workers are affected. |
