Description | 7-deazaguanine, guanine analogue, is able to be sequence specifically incorporated into DNA. Modified DNA fragments can not be detected by standard techniques (gel electrophoresis, quantitative PCR) because of quenching of fluorescence of commonly used dyes. Electrochemical detection provides 7-deazaguanine-specific signal suitable for the quantification of PCR product and determination of the extent of DNA modification. |
