Description | In conclusion, our data demonstrate that, within the cohort of tested individuals, the IDH2 mutations are associated with AML (in contrast to healthy volunteers), suggesting a role for these mutations in disease pathogenesis. In addition, we show an association of the observed IDH2 mutations with disease status, indicating their potential for MRD monitoring. This report thus indicates that IDH2 p.R140 variants are possible markers for MRD detection. However, an extended investigation of IDH2 mutations kinetics, involving long-term followup and a larger cohort of IDH2 mutated AMLs, will be required to confirm these findings. |
