Description The education of students with special educational needs includes also students with social disadvantage where students from non-stimulating environment and students in danger of socio-pathological behaviour belong (Education Act No. 561 2004 Sb.). This article presents results of a research carried out during the third year of the research project Special Needs of Pupils in the Context of the Framework Education Programme for Primary Education. The aim of the research project was to analyze the success of graduates of preparatory classes in the system of basic education in Brno, with the emphasis on key competencies and pupils achievement in primary education.
