Description Ca-skarns with scheelite mineralisation situated in different geological units were studied. The Žulová Batholith is represented by accessory scheelite in two mineral assemblages: a garnet skarn, and a greisenized pyroxene skarn (chlorite-quartz layer with relicts of pyroxene). Primary scheelite contains a higher MoO3 amount (up to 2.12 wt. %) than washed scheelite (up to 0.42 wt. % ). Primary scheelite in the Žulová Batholith is more enriched in MoO3 than primary scheelite in the Třebíč Batholith. In both the batholits scheelite occurs in reduced tungsten late skarns associated with the ilmenite-series granitoids.
