| Description | It is widely recognised that infrastructure facilities (transport, communication, energy, services, etc.) are potent tools for the development of positive and mutually-beneficial rural-urban interface. The adequacy and efficiency of infrastructure determines, to a large extent, the success or failure of linkages between cities/towns and rural hinterlands. The aim of the paper is to analyse present spatial differentiation and rural-urban divide into six infrastructure domains (technical infrastructure, financial services, health services, transport, accommodation, and retail) in Slovakia. |
