| Description | The assessment of flood risk and determination of possible damages is current topic not only in the water management. The European Directive on the assessment and management of flood risks of EU Parliament (2007/60/ES) assigns to member states to prepare flood hazard and flood risk maps for areas with significant flood risk. The content of the Methodology comprise from methods of flood risk analysis and cartographic rules of its results visualization in the form of flood risk and flood hazard maps. The Methodology was compiled with the purpose to offer a complex manual for the flood risk assessment to institutions and companies potentially interested in the flood risk and flood hazard assessment and mapping. |
