Description | Objective: To determine the clinical, 24h blood pressure metabolic and anthropometric effects of once daily dosed sartans. Methods: 57 patients in two groups before and after 1 year of treatment with losartane or telmisartane once daily. Results: smoothness index of losartane plus minus standard error of mean was 1,10 plus minus 0,13 for SBPP, 0,81 plus minus 0,11 for DBP, RDH index of losartane was (24,24,0) for both BP. Smoothness index of telmisartane was 1,00 plus minus 0,11 for SBP, 0,84 plus minus 0,10 for DBP, RDH index of telmisartane was (24,24,0) for SBP and (22,15,1) for DBP. No statistically significant changes heart rate, metabolic and anthropometric parameters. Conclusion: losartane have reasonably better homogenous effect on diastolic BP throughout 24h than telmisartane. There are no changes in metabolic parameters. |
