Description | On 26th of May 2010 the Hungarian parliament passed new law on Hungarian citizenship allowing to gain Hungarian citizenship on pure ethnical basis. Slovakian reaction was swift and without deliberation – on the very same day a new law on Slovak citizenship avoiding dual citizenship was passed. This step of Slovak parliament was, however, a step back from the common trend favouring dual citizenship. Moreover, the above standard Czech-Slovak relations have been infringed. |
